The word turn can be used with different meanings since this term has different meanings according to particular situations. The most common and used meaning of the term turn is that which refers to the movement circular that can exercise both an object and a person or a natural phenomenon. The spin can also be a specific action, such as when using the expression turn Postcard What does it mean to make a postal movement between a destination and other.
Understood in the most common sense of the word, the turn is simply the circular movement that a body performs on itself, that is, without losing its axis. This movement can be performed by an object such as a living being or even a phenomenon of nature. In the first case, the rotating movement must be caused by external agents, as for example in the case of a ball when it is kicked by a person. In the case of living beings, the movement can occur by the same force that the person or the animal exerts on itself.
Turns can be generated by inertia or for specific reasons. In the case of humans and animals, the turns can have a purpose, for example in the dance or in movements that seek to protect the body from possible attacks.
The turn, as can be seen, always supposes a movement that can be on the same place or advancing on different space. This becomes visible in the movement of the planets around the sun: in the same way that they move in turns around the sun (movement of translation), they also rotate on the same axis (rotational movement), which is why two different types of turns are made in a single act. Although the movement is not exactly circular but rather elliptical, both represent transfer from the turn.
