Known as one of the most important countries in Southeast Asia, Vietnam has a very important wealth cultural as well as an incredible history and beautiful landscapes. Vietnam is geographically located in the region known as Southeast Asia, sharing boundaries with the countries of China, Laos, and Cambodia. Much of his border eastern is washed by the waters of the fabulous China Sea. Despite being a small and narrow territory, Vietnam has more than eighty-seven million inhabitants, which places it within the fifteen most populous countries in the world.
Currently governed by a democracy popular socialist, Vietnam has one of the most interesting stories on the planet. Having been for millennia in the shadow of China's territory and largely receiving its cultural influence, Vietnam does not reach us. us until the twentieth century, when this territory served as headquarters for one of the bloodiest and hardest wars of the last time. In it the western and capitalist sides (represented first by France and then by the United States) faced off against the eastern and communist sides. Due to the type of tactics that were used and the complete ignorance that the Americans had of this
country, The United States had to withdraw from the war after years of suffering incredible casualties and losses.Today Vietnam is a free country whose capital is the city of Hanoi although the most populated is Ho Chi Minh. While the large cities of Vietnam show an important modernizing advance, much of the Vietnamese territory maintains important and ancient traditions that make the population live in almost non-urbanized rural areas, resorting to precarious agricultural activities and living in a certain point poor and miserable. However, the wealth of the country is precisely its culture and its identity, which is why even large cities maintain ties with those traditions and heritages in their buildings, in their celebrations and in their art.
