We call ice to the Water which is in a solid state as a consequence of the high decrease in the temperature to which it was subjected, that is, ice is frozen water.
Meanwhile, along with gas and liquid, ice is one of the three natural states that water can present. It is worth noting that water in its pure state freezes when it reaches 0 ° below zero.
The hyper-cold temperature and the almost snow-white color are its traits characteristic physicists.
There are very few substances, including water, which when freezing increases its volume, that is, its density decreases. Thanks to this situation, it is possible that the oceans of those polar areas do not freeze in their entire volume, leaving the ice only on their surface.
For its part, blue ice, is the one that is formed when snow is deposited on a glacier, compressing itself and becoming part of it and then dragging it to a body of water. In that transfer the bubbles of the air that had been trapped in the ice are expelled and the ice crystals increase in size.
In our daily lives we use ice a lot to cool the drinks we drink, especially in the summer where the need for cold drinks is most appreciated. The refrigerator, refrigerator or refrigerator as it is often called, is the appliance par excellence through which we can generate ice ourselves. Normally you need a bucket which is loaded with tap water and put in the freezer of the refrigerator, which is the coldest space, and in a few hours we will obtain the ice.
Also, crushed ice is widely used for preparation of drinks, juices and special smoothies. It can be ground by hitting it with a hammer or through blenders that have this function.
In using colloquial, the word ice, is widely used to refer to the coldness that characterizes someone in their way of acting and think. It can also be used to qualify that unloving relationship or treatment.
