The concept of apostle is widely used in our language to refer to that individual who performs a homework evangelizer, preacher, promoting and spreading throughout the world a doctrine, a religion.

This is the most general use of the word and therefore to anyone who dedicates his life to the preaching of an idea, in any field or field, it can be called this way, although, it should be noted that the concept acquired relevance in beginning in the religious context to name the followers of Jesus and those who precisely carried out an evangelizing task at his side.

Jesus summoned twelve individuals at that time, who are known in the history of the Christian religion as the twelve Apostles: Simon, Matthew, Simon Peter, Judas, Andrew, Bartholomew, John, Philip of Bethsaida, James the less, Thaddeus, James the Major, Thomas.

All of them joined Jesus and accompanied him until his last days on earth. Along with the basic and essential mission of spreading the word of God, they also knew how to surprise with miracles and signs, healing the sick, for example.

The course, the activity carried out by the apostles was immortalized in one of the books of the Bible, named precisely as the Acts of the Apostles.
More precisely it is about the fifth book of New Testament.

Although all the apostles fulfilled a fundamental role, Simon Peter and Judas Iscariot are undoubtedly the ones who achieved the most stand out throughout history, basically for concrete events that developed in that close relationship that they maintained with Jesus.

In the case of Simon Peter, the importance that Jesus gave him in those years was demonstrated not only in the fact that he was one of the most mentioned apostles in the sacred writing but also in the fact that the tradition Christian considers him the first pope in history.

And on the other hand, Judas Iscariot, is sadly famous for having been the one who betrayed Jesus in the so-called Last Supper. Judas gave Jesus to his enemies in exchange for money.
