An adventure is a series of events involving the exposition to one or more hazards. The term can be used in various ways and refer to all kinds of situations, but the achievement of a certain purpose and the obstacles that threaten it.
The term is widely used in regards to the elaboration of all fictitious products. Thus, the films that currently populate theaters always involve an adventure that different characters must face to solve a problem, or reach a goal that will redound to them in some benefit. The same can be said for novels and short stories that can be found in bookstores and libraries. What is perhaps less obvious is that The fondness for this type of fiction dates back to ancient times and is present in all cultures. Indeed, in all of them there are stories that relate the path of a hero to carry out a series of jobs or achieve a specific good. Thus, for example, the works of Hercules, the history of Theseus and the minotaur, the avatars of Gilgamesh, etc. can be cited. Some of these narratives are extremely old and their
conservation in the time.In general, it can be said that the experience Man involves exposure to various challenges that require a resolution for life to develop satisfactorily. That is why it can be considered that the fascination caused by the stories mentioned is due to their correspondence with human experiences that involve constant processes of exposure to unsafe situations. For all the above, it is to be expected that this relationship between fiction and adventure will never end, just as the interest that man lavishes on it will not end.
