Sushi is known as one of the most representative foods (although not the only one) in Japan at the international. Attractive for its simplicity but also for its delicious taste, its colorful ingredients and its variety of possibilities, sushi is currently one of the most popular gastronomic dishes in the world and this is done visible in the important proliferation of establishments dedicated to elaboration and sale even in regions where little and nothing is known about Japan.
When it comes to describing it, it can be said that sushi is basically a roll made up of boiled rice and other flavors (which vary significantly between preparation and preparation). This roll is wrapped in seaweed which is what gives it firmness and they help keep him armed. This base is normal in a large number of sushi options, however it is not the only one and today you can find infinite possibilities of assembly, preparation and flavor. Among the most common ingredients with which rice is accompanied, they should be mentioned on the one hand variety of vegetables as well as a variety of fish (among which salmon is the most common).
Sushi is particularly attractive because it is eaten with chopsticks and not with traditional Western cutlery (which can be easily disassembled with). Each of the various preparations has a specific name and this is why to consider that all variants are sushi is a clear mistake.
When preparing sushi, some basic questions must be taken into account. First of all, it is of great importance to work with food extremely fresh, especially with regard to the fish as they are raw. The rice must be of a special type that releases a lot starch and allow your grains to stick together to form a firm roll. Finally, the vegetables must also be fresh and of great quality to avoid possible fermentations.
