The word copy is used very frequently in different situations of ordinary life. And it is used to refer to each copy that is made of a writing or document.

As with most words in the Spanish language, copia comes from Latin and means abundance of something. For this reason, it is spoken of copious when referring to a great quantity of an element (it rained copiously).

Since there is a large number of repeated writings, this implies that there is one that is the original, the authentic, from which a high number of repetitions are made, of do you copy. Even in the educational world the word copy is used. It happens when a student uses some technique to imply that he has knowledge even though in fact he has limited himself to reproducing it in a deceptive way.

Both plagiarism and cheating in schools is common practice. Something similar happens with some thesis doctoral studies that, after a rigorous analysis, have been discovered as false as they are partial reproductions.

The originality and value of an object lies in being unique. If this object is multiplied with a high number of copies, its value decreases, since it is a non-exclusive object and it is easy to obtain it.
