The system night vision began to be used initially for military purposes, but as often happens, the technology it does not reside in watertight compartments and is transferred.
Today the night vision system also know as night vision or night view assist, is being used in automobiles and it's about a system that allows us to see, observe and detect objects (which can be people and animals as well) that due to the light conditions are impossible to see for the human eye with the naked eye.
Its clear objective is to save lives and prevent accidentsand there are of two types basically: the one you see through infrared rays and the one that works by radiation thermal, the latter being the most widespread these days, reproducing the images on a screen (usually located on the element board of the car in front of the driver) that can be captured in a space of up to 300º in front of the vehicle.
People and animals are the elements that end up being represented more clearly and
clarity on the screen, representing the points to which we must give greater attention when driving with low or no lighting conditions. In the present the Mercedes Benz and the BMW the most expensive of their ranges already have the night vision system while particularly In Argentina, the Mercedes Benz S-Class models and the BMW 7 Series also have the system. To give us an idea, when you buy it as an option in the BMW 7 Series, the cost of the system is about $ 4,250.
