The concept of trait is used to indicate or designate those elements or components of the personality or from different parts of a person's body. Thus, the traits They are the elements that make up an individual and that differentiate it as a whole from the rest of the individuals. Although the notion of trait is used mainly in this sense, it is also common to use it to talk about traits of other things such as animals, phenomena, or circumstances, such as when it is said that a trait of capitalism is he consumption exaggerated of goods.
Whenever we use the concept of trait, we are assuming that this trait is an element that defines the particularity of a person or phenomenon. This is so since that feature becomes something related to the essence of the object or subject which is being talked about. Although this trait is common and shared by many other individuals or objectsIt is at the same time that which identifies and defines. For example, when it is said that a person has strong features, it is pointing out that his eyes, nose or mouth are striking and very particular. The notion of features is used a lot in the case of individuals to refer to the elements that make up the face since those are perhaps some of the most visible features of a person.
As said, the notion of trait can also be applied to other things such as phenomena or circumstances, as well as to objects. For example, it is common to say that the trait of a school artistic is the use of a certain color. That trait is, then, what identifies that artistic school over the others. We can also say the same about an object, for example when a toy from kids It has as features the presence of bright and attractive colors to the eye.
