We are so used to the light that we don't normally stop to think what it really is. If there were no light, our world would undoubtedly be completely different.
What is light
300 years ago scientists had two contrary ideas about its nature. For some the light was made up of beams of particles and others claimed that it propagated in the form of waves. Finally a synthesis of both theories, according to which light travels through space in the form of small shapes of Energy called photons and these photons combine the properties of waves and particles. Electric and magnetic fields vibrate in light and are therefore called electromagnetic waves, which produce a brightness determined, that is, a glow. Thus, from the point of view of physical glare is the light effect that is caused by an energy source that emits light.
Beyond the light
The concept of radiance can be understood within the parameters of nature itself (the sun's rays produce a certain glow) but at the same time it is a concept that goes beyond natural luminosity or
artificial. In fact, in the language Everyday this term is used very frequently, because the radiance of something expresses its highest level of perfection. If a person looks especially attractive, someone is likely to say that he is resplendent. In poetic language, this word is often used, as it is very evocative and suggestive (sometimes a synonym is used, glare). Keep in mind that the antonym of glow is darkness, a word associated with gloomy things, sad and without energy. The opposition between light and dark allows us to better understand what the idea of radiance really means.
Radiance as a spiritual concept
Christianity, Judaism, or religion Muslim maintain that there is a creator and in the different sacred texts the creator's work is associated with the idea of luminosity. This implies that a divinity gives us a spiritual light that serves as a guide. Thus, the radiance in a spiritual sense becomes a very broad idea: it gives meaning to life, illuminates us in the face of adversity, provides energy and serves to differentiate good from evil. Most religions incorporate the concept of radiance as a language device that illustrates and exemplifies a message determined.
