The term retro is used extensively in our language with the intention of evoke a past tense or something that belonged or is reminiscent of a time that has already happened.

It should be noted that it is also usually use as prefix and then added to another term allows just to indicate backwards. One of the most common examples that we can give in this sense is that of the concept of retrospective, commonly used to indicate that event or act through which a review is made of the past work or the work of an artist or a given person. It is very common therefore in the world artistic when the works of an artist who has already passed away are reviewed and honored, and which of course were created several years ago with respect to the moment in which the retrospective takes place.

Also, the term recoil, so used in our language, is another clear example of what we have been exposing. When someone or something is said to have made a setback, it is meant to indicate precisely that they have gone a step backwards, they have regressed with respect to what they were doing or a behavior. And you will always be awarded a

connotation negative, that is, a setback is taken as something that is not positive at all.

On the other hand, the concept is also closely associated with fields of the fashion and from design to refer precisely to a trend, a style that evokes the past through a esthetic that brings to the present styles or fashions used that were a milestone in other times already passed.

It should not necessarily be old or past designs but mostly the retro style implies a creation of today but that is inspired by features typical of another era. We see this situation a lot in fashion, for example, where designers project creations that display characteristic elements that were used in past decades.

Meanwhile, in the case of interior decoration, the retro style or trend occupies a place among the preferences of past lovers and in which those furniture or pieces typical of the decades of the 50s, 60s and 70s. Among its distinctive features we must mention the upholstery in colored stripes, geometric designs, the typical American furniture of light woods, and the combination of strong colors, varieties of yellows, oranges and red.
