The idea of revelation presents three senses different: 1- The unveiling of a secret, 2- The communication of a divinity with men and 3- As an idea that is presented in a figurative sense.
Revelation of a secret
A secret is, by definition, something that remains hidden. Therefore, it is information that is difficult to know, since it is not easy to access it. At the same time, some secrets are shrouded in mystery. When the truth about a secret is discovered, it is revealed, that is, it is made known in a definitive way. By announcing that information is going to be revealed, it is being said that what was ignored or remained secret will finally be known.
Religious revelation
In the religion Christian, Jewish and Muslim there has been a revelation. It consists in that God communicates important information to men, that is, he reveals something that was previously unknown. The mechanism of revelation is basically the following: God makes direct contact with a man or a woman to communicate a truth of great relevance and the
receiver of information becomes a prophet who must communicate to humanity the information received. In religious revelation, God enlightens humanity on the meaning of life and the right path. Of course, the message divine can only be understood from faith and not from reason.
The idea of religious revelation is fundamental to understanding the evolution of one's own religion. Thus, if God had not revealed the true truth to men and there was no historical testimony to this eventIt would be very difficult to follow religious precepts because its foundation would be human and not divine.
Revelation in a figurative sense
In the media, headlines appear in which this term is used (“it is the player revelation of this season ”,“ is the most important revelation artist of the year ”and other statements similar). In this way, someone becomes a revelation character when he unexpectedly acquires a certain fame or prominence.
In this context, the revelation is not a secret nor is there a religious component, but rather someone unknown becomes famous or recognized for his worth in some respect (usually sports or artistic). Someone becomes a revelation when he leaves his anonymity within his activity and becomes a relevant and top-notch character.
