In studying the science historical, the human being has made some conventions that have to watch with the driving of time to be able to locate the facts or events in a more orderly and chronological way. Etymologically, decade belongs to the Greek term dekas, which means ten and is also used for words like decalogue or decathlon.

While a year is a relatively short time for profound changes to become visible, the decade gives more time for these transformations or social forms to be completed.
