On Argentina, for example, during the constitutional government of Raúl Alfonsín, after a serial revolt embodied by the armed forces, this sector succeeded in getting the president to dictate the final point laws and of due obedience that prevented a large part of the armed forces from being prosecuted for their criminal actions during the dictatorship.
To slow the escalation of violence perpetrated by this sector is that the Alfonsín government issued these controversial regulations.

Finally and fortunately years later these laws were annulled.
