The word duplication refers to the multiplication that is done by two of something.
Meanwhile, for multiplication refers, on the one hand, the considerable increase in number of something, and at the request of the math, that of multiplication is one of the most common and basic operations that involves finding a certain result after repeating a number as many times as requested or indicated by another.
The numbers that participate in the multiplication operation are formally called as factors, the number to be added being multiplying while the figure indicating the number of times to be added to the multiplicand is known as multiplier. The result that comes out of them is designated as product. With an example we will see it better: 6 x 3 = 18, if we add the number 6 three times we will find that that sum just gives us 18 as a result.
It should be noted that this mathematical operation consumes the property commutative Therefore, regardless of the order in which the factors are placed, the product will not be altered or final result, if we take those of the previous example: 6 x 3 or 3 x 6, the result will not change, that is, it will continue being 18.
The aforementioned operation of multiplication is taught to people during the school primary school, more precisely in the subject of mathematics and at the beginning, that is, during the first grade. First instance You will be taught the other two most basic operations, addition and subtraction and then multiplication, through the so-called multiplication tables.
And on the other hand, the word duplication is also used to account for the reproduction of something, a picture, a document, the lyrics, among others, in a copy. Image duplication is expected in the use of this system.
