Silk is a natural product produced by worms from different type and that is used by humans mainly as cloth or fiber for clothing. Silk is a delicate element and that is why it is sold at high prices on the market, in addition to the fact that the process of its manufacturing Y treaty it is very particular and exclusive. Garments made of silk always maintain a very unique cut, softness and delicacy, which is why it is the fabric used by the most important designers.
Silk is believed to originate from China, although other regions of Southeast Asia also have ancient records of the existence of this fabulous product. Silk is produced and worked by different insects, mainly by those known as silkworms. However, other insects such as larvae, spiders, bees, and wasps all give off silky substances that are very similar to officially accepted silk.
One of the features most striking and obvious of silk is its impressive brightness which is also completely natural. This is achieved from the shape of the silk fibers generated by the insects already mentioned. These fibers allow light to pass through in a particular way and that is why the fabric permanently maintains its shine. In addition, silk is especially soft in
comparison with other fabrics. Although today we can find many synthetic fabrics similar to silk on the market, both in sight and touch there is no possible point of comparison between one and the other.Despite its visual delicacy, silk is a very strong fiber that is difficult to break or cut by hand. However, if it is wet or heat-dried it easily loses its properties and its original size so its treatment you must be very careful.
