In Spain, the Public State Employment Service is known by its acronym SEPE. This entity serves citizens in person or by phone, but has an online service that works through the electronic DNI and electronic signature.

The objectives of the body are related to people, companies and organizations nonprofit. Regardless of the services that the SEPE offers, the varied information it provides must be highlighted.

SEPE services for people

Information can be requested on different economic or employment-related benefits (for example, contributory benefits after having contributed to the social Security or the request for certificates for the annual income statement).

On the other hand, the citizen will be able to interact with the administration to streamline administrative procedures (for example, the modification of bank details, verification of documents or consultation on the calculation of benefits). Apart from these services, the SEPE also acts as a body aimed at facilitating a

job to unemployed citizens. In this sense, on the SEPE website you can find job offers in the territory national or abroad, guides for entrepreneurs or possible training courses.

In relation to companies

Among the services oriented to companies, some of them are the following:

1) a direct communication via the internet to communicate the registration of an employment contract,

2) the registry of self-employed workers,

3) request for certificates or request to the administration to carry out training actions,

4) exchange of data related to the work activity of workers,

5) processing for the granting of subsidies (especially related to the hiring of people with disability) Y

6) processing of suggestions and complaints, as well as resources and other procedures.

On the SEPE site, the employer can find useful information on the types of contracts in force or on possible bonuses in hiring.

Non-profit entities

This type of entity must be transparent and therefore must be subject to control by the administration. To make this possible, the SEPE has implemented a series of procedures administrative. All of them have the purpose of facilitating the efforts of these entities, especially those related to subsidies and public aid.
