The concept of worker is one that applies to all people who perform some type of work or activity paid. In many cases it can also be used in a general sense to designate a person who is performing a specific job regardless of whether he is officially employed or not. The condition of worker is one of the most important for the human being as an individual since from work and performance of a defined activity is that it can not only subsist but also possess identity, feel useful and develop particular skills.
The figure of the worker is one of the oldest within human societies, perhaps the one that has always been regardless of the type of society in question. In modern societies, workers tend to form unions or unions that are organizations whose main objective is the defense and protection of the rights of each worker. Through him and thanks to the action of many governments interested in the well-being of this sector social is that workers have managed to develop important advances in their working conditions lifetime.
