The concept of liturgy is a broad concept that is nevertheless used almost exclusively in the religious sphere. By liturgy we understand all those practices, actions and rites that are carried out around the religion, to the celebration of certain types of religious events, which must be repeated and completed for the religious service to be effective. However, the use that is given to this word does not mean that its meaning is limited only to it, but rather that it can be also used in other areas, especially when referring to celebrations, events or moments in which a certain kind of ritual.
The word liturgy comes from the Greek, the language in which lituryia meant "public service". Here then lies the idea that a liturgy may not only be a religious liturgy but may be referring to different procedures. In this way, it is safe to say that the liturgy of doctors before operating is to wash and sterilize their hands as well as the instruments they will use. The liturgy of the footballers before going out onto the field of play is to do some kind of
demonstration from force joint, etc. Liturgies are not limited to the public sphere but can also take place in the private sphere, for example when talking about the liturgy of a family at dinner time (everyone sitting at the table, applauding whoever cooked, etc.).The most common and frequent use that is given to the word liturgy is when seeking to refer to those events or religious celebrations that require I respect for him compliance of certain steps and repeating them each time the same event is held again. Thus, for Catholics the liturgy of the Mass consists of several parts among which the moment of communion is the most important and significant.
