The act of praying is perhaps one of the most common in all societies since it has to do with the fact of entrust to the Lord or the gods and communicate with them to ask for help, support or advice before a certain situation.
The ways of praying vary according to the religion but also to each historical epoch, for which we cannot speak of a single way of carrying out such an action.
The act of praying is the most sacred and important of any mystical or religious construction
The idea of praying is deeply related to that of prayer understood as a statement or a prayer to a entity divine. The sentence can be armed and be repeated routinely and constantly or it can also be created by the person in a particular situation and with their own words or ways of expressing themselves. The act of praying is then one in which the person communicates in a way with the divine entity in the one who believes and does it with a goal: to thank, ask, feel heard, comply with a routine, etc.
Prayer or the act of praying is present in absolutely all religions since it does not depend on a type of religion but has to do especially with being able to contact or feel heard by the gods who represent.
Praying as a moment of public and intimate enjoyment at the same time
To understand the moment of the prayer in particular, it is important to point out that it can be carried both in the public space and in the most intimate private space. Most religions have endless traditions and patterns of behavior that have to do with the act of praying for it to take place in shared spaces (for example, in the temple, with determined clothing, with or without music, following certain steps, etc.) but also to enjoy and carry out in a private place with loved ones or in privacy.
This is because usually the connection between the individual and the divine entity they believe in is an act of great faith, deep symbolism and that it should be highly respected without interruptions or prejudices on how it is carried out cape.

Pray through time
We cannot speak of a single way of praying because each religion has established its parameters. But in addition, the ways of praying have also varied over time. While in ancient societies it was very common to make sacrifices as an offering to the gods (even in some cultures these sacrifices became human), then the temples appeared as spaces where to carry out masses and celebrations in which only the priests could take part.
Later in the Middle Ages, monasteries and spaces dedicated to religion became more present and were characterized by a total separation of the person with the environment so that the connection with God is greater. It is in the last centuries of West when it is observed that prayer can become a personal act in which the individual decides how carry it out, if it is participating in mass masses or if it is in the solitude of its most intimate.
