The term Ephemeris, according to the use that it can be referred to various issues.
Yet event or event that occurs on a certain calendar date such as: the triumph of a battle, the birth of a national hero or of any other personality outstanding in the field of culture, science or politics, or some decision transcendental policy for a Nation, among others, they are called by the term ephemeris.
Also to the commemoration of the anniversaries of the aforementioned events is known as ephemeris. It is very common to find yourself in the media communication, such as magazines, newspapers, television programs and even radio with sections or segments in which enumerate the ephemeris of the day, that is, it gives an account of those important events that occurred that same day but in other year.
For example, On October 12, 1492, Admiral Christopher Columbus discovered the continent American; On November 22, 1963, the President of the United States John Fitzgerald Kennedy was assassinated by two shots while visiting the state of Texas; On July 16, 1969, a North American space mission reached the Moon for the first time, also being the first visit by man to its
satelite more known and close.On the other hand and at the request of the Astronomy and Astrology, an ephemeris is a table of values that provides the positions of astronomical objects in the sky at a given moment or moments. The aforementioned position is represented in the form of spherical polar coordinates in the case of Astronomy and longitude for Astrology. This type of ephemeris warns about the different astronomical phenomena of interest such as eclipses, stations with planetary movements, sidereal time, phases of the moon, among others.
