A ambush is the concealment of one or more people in order to be able to surprise another or others. For example: "The enemy ambushed them and his army was decimated.”
People who hide with the mission of surprising others, usually in the context of a war
It is an extremely frequent term within the military field, because the ambush is a widely used military tactic that consists of the violent and surprise attack on any enemy element that is found, either in movement or occupying a certain position temporarily.
This unexpected nature of the ambush is what makes it a technique quite successful when it is implemented, because of course, the enemy does not expect that attack and then it will be unprepared and the victory will result from the one who prepared the ambush.
It should be noted that ambushing is certainly a millennial technique, already in times of domination Roman used it, the Romans had no other chance before the imprint of the indigenous attacks than to develop new fighting techniques; on the other hand, during the Muslim invasion in
Spain it was common for forests to be burned in order to drive the enemy out into the open country. Some time later, with the advent of explosives, a new facet was given to this tactic, since through this it was possible to destroy entire military formations, even armored ones, in minor but really ferocious engagements.
Antipersonnel mines are an emblematic example of landmines that hide and kill because of this lack of perceptibility
Antipersonnel mines are a type of landmine that are designed to kill or physically disable the enemy.
They consist of explosive devices that are hidden in the ground at a shallow depth, often camouflaged on the ground, in such a way that the explosive that they contain detonates immediately when they are activated by a person or a vehicle that failed to warn them, because of course, they are hidden in the land.
Their main mission is to seriously injure those who are destined, to kill him, to maim him, to leave him out of the way.
Today this type of mine abounds in Africa and they are certainly a scourge because they can be stepped on by innocents, which have nothing to do with conflicts between factions.
There are many areas that are not signposted and then, misfortune can occur there, most are placed for decades and as they remain active they can cause tremendous damage such as those already we said.
Intrigue or trap with which you try to deceive someone to harm them
And the other use of the word refers to that scheming or intrigue that is carried out with the aim of harming someone.
A coworker prepares an ambush for another with the mission of harming him and thus keeping his position
Of course it is a reprehensible action from the point of view moral but that turns out to be very common in life labor, by competence that usually exist in many work contexts.
So it is common for a colleague to use this action to harm another, for example he exposes him to his boss telling her that he arrived late several days of the week and that he hid it, it will anger the boss who will surely end up firing the employee or sanctioning him in some way way.
People are constantly ambushing, trapping, to harm us in some way and thus get some profit or benefit in something that is desired, or with the mission of destroying, hurting the other, permanently removing him from the road.
