A iniquity is a injustice or evil but in superlative termsIn other words, it is a huge injustice.
Gross injustice or tremendous wickedness
In iniquity, wickedness and the absolute lack of I respect towards moral standards. In as much, we cannot avoid when approaching this concept its great connection with religion, in any case, it is also often used beyond this context.
Generally, human beings naturally aspire to the common good and it is precisely on this fact that many have settled ethical postulates that indicate and guide man towards good behavior, but of course, there are also deviations and this is impossible to we sidestep.
The times, the contexts, many times lead the common man to move away from that common good that they yearn for themselves and for the whole of society, proof of this are the murders, kidnappings, robberies, perpetrated by human beings who have completely strayed from the straight path and from that longing for well-being common.
The aforementioned criminal acts are clear forms and examples of iniquity and unfortunately they will always be present in our imperfect world.
You can fight them, punishing them, but it is very difficult to eradicate them, and especially when some people feel they have no opportunities in this world today and so they choose the path of the delinquency.
Religion: repeated sinful behavior
In terms of the Christian religion iniquity will be the conduct repetitive sin that it becomes a pattern, taking support in our way of being and then there it will begin to be transmitted from generation to generation.
Therefore, iniquity will be absolutely contrary to righteousness and justice, iniquity is what distortedIn some way, it is related to a spiritual seed that grows crooked and will thus be passed from generation to generation, twisting even more and more.
Because sin is not what we inherit from our ancestors but rather iniquity, this itself is the root of sin, the root of evil that will introduce into men the thoughts sinful.
An example of this would be alcoholism, drug addiction, sexual promiscuity, which, as is easy to see, have been transmitted from generation to generation.
Divine intervention, prayer and the sacraments to combat iniquity
Sin for the Christian religion is the rejection of God and it was what caused man to become mortal and stop enjoying the eternal life that God intended for him at the beginning of everything.
Then the intervention of God through the figure of Christ, with death on the cross and the consequent resurrection, it is proposed to resolve the issue of sin original, his forgiveness, the redemption of all men finally, that is, it will always be through the incursion of God that will move away to the iniquity.
On the other hand, the sacraments, like baptism, erase the original sin of all men.
Then, everything that appears crooked with respect to God must be considered as iniquity, when the iniquity is present in us it is a fact that we will find ourselves misaligned with all that God proposes.
When iniquity is established, it will inevitably attract all those dark and undesirable things, for example, misery, disease, curses, problems, among others.
If you could find a figure, a expression physical to iniquity it would be a black cloak that negatively covers the spirit of man. After attacking the soul and spirit, iniquity will also attack the body, thus making it impossible for man to advance righteously.
The work that the Church proposes itself and that a good Christian should also propose is that of uproot iniquity outright, because as long as it remains stagnant, sins will continue repeating. What the church mainly advises is to approach God, pray, acknowledge one's own iniquities, renounce them and of course regret them in order to definitively cut the chain of transmission.
In short, staying close to God and practicing prayer on a daily basis will take people away from this painful situation and that does so much damage to the well-being of all.
