Known as one of the most dangerous weather phenomena, the tornado is a column of air that moves in space and that can destroy everything in its path due to the Energy of the air currents that compose it. The tornado is a column of air in movement which can vary in its thickness as well as its destructive power. It is a violent and strong wind, characterized in that it is presented with a rotating mobility.
A major meteorological phenomenon consisting of a very strong wind with a whirlpool shape that can destroy everything in its path
The causes of its development are low pressure and an evaporation process that occurred in the sea. In these phenomena a phenomenon occurs in which the hundreds that follow one another do so in the form of a whirlpool, that is, on a point called an eye and in which the atmospheric pressure it has suffered a considerable decline in value.
One of the most important characteristics of a tornado is that it maintains a point of connection both with the Earth or the ground and with the clouds in the sky from which it is formed. The clouds that can form a tornado are known as
cumulonimbus clouds. These clouds are characterized by being low, with vertical development and with balanced currents of hot and cold air, which keeps them in constant movement. In addition, a cumulonimbus cloud is a cloud with a high presence of humidity and with great energy that begins to be generated from the movement and exchange gaseous between hot and cold air.The shape of a tornado is usually that of a funnel. This means that its power center is at the top, where the cloud begins to form the energy column. As it descends towards Earth, the thickness decreases forming a narrower column at the bottom. However, the narrowest part of the tornado may include many kilometers of distance flush with the ground. It is in this lower part where the destruction takes place since when moving the tornado exerts its energy against that which is found, lifting it up into the air and destroying it in its center of can. Many times, however, tornadoes can be so violent and powerful that the column of air maintains the same thickness at both the top and bottom.
Characteristics
Tornadoes are usually accompanied by a momentary change in the weather, appearing rains and darkening the sky suddenly due to the intense presence of clouds. Tornadoes usually last a few minutes and when they are over the weather can clear up again. However, during those minutes of duration the tornado is actively moving and can cause damage in very large geographical areas.
One of the most dire characteristics of these phenomena is the severe damage that they know how to produce in their wake, on the material plane, destroying houses, structures, buildings, even, they know how to tear some of these out of the ground. They are also highly dangerous and destructive to humans, as those who will be trapped in they can suffer serious accidents, damages and not to mention suffer some major and extreme damage such as death.
There have been a tremendous number of devastating hurricanes throughout human history that left enormous physical, human and material damage, declaring those devastated areas in a state of disaster Y emergency.
At present, the advances that have been made in the detection of these phenomena via radars have allowed the affected populations are prevented and can take appropriate precautions when the arrival of a hurricane. However, this intimidates us in its virulence of course, and it can certainly be harsh.
They generally occur in tropical or sub-tropical areas, on the ocean. The Atlantic Ocean hurricane season is an annual event that begins in June with the alert extending until the end of November.
Recently, on September 22, this area suffered the attack of Hurricane Matthew, which had maximum winds of up to 260 kilometers per hour and affected areas such as the state of Florida, the Lesser Antilles, Haiti, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Colombia and Venezuela.
It is common practice for hurricanes to be referred to by human names.
