The term trekking is normally translated into Spanish as hiking. In any case, hiking and trekking are very similar and share the same idea: walking through the mountains to exercise in a natural setting.
The spirit of trekking
Combining sport and nature makes this activity attractive. At the same time, it must be borne in mind that trekking incorporates other complementary elements (taking photos, knowing the fauna and the flora o learn cultural aspects associated with each route).
A characteristic of trekking is its adaptability to personal physical conditions. On the other hand, it is also possible to adapt it to the particular circumstances of each one, since the mountain routes can be done alone, as a couple, in family or with friends. Trekking is a very open activity, where some observe the birds, others take photographs and some give more importance to the communication. Thus, starting from a simple idea (walking in the mountains) it is feasible to satisfy various concerns.
