The Sea Black is one of the seas found in the northern hemisphere, more specifically between Europe and Asia. This sea acts precisely as a division between both continents and bathes the coasts of countries such as Ukraine, Russia, Georgia, Romania, Bulgaria and Turkey, as well as the famous cities of Odessa, Istanbul, Yalta and Sevastopol. The Black Sea is an inland sea that is only connected by small steps with the Mediterranean (through the Strait of the Bosphorus, first with the Sea of Marmara and then towards the Aegean Sea through the Strait of Dardanelles).
The Black Sea has more than four hundred thousand square kilometers and a maximum depth of two thousand two hundred meters. It has in its interior more than ten islands among which we can mention the island of San Cyricus, Berezan, Santa Anastasia, San Iván, Santo Tomás. The training of the Black Sea has to do with the separation of two basins from a volcanic effect. At the same time, the movement
tectonic provided the area with numerous mountain ranges that marked a greater difference between the level of the Water and its depth, transforming this course of water from a lake to a sea.The Black Sea is known worldwide for its high proportion of salt water, coming mainly from the Bosphorus Strait, despite the fact that the River Danube also adds water candy due to its tributary. This combination of two different types of waters makes the Black Sea a sea that does not mixes different layers of water and therefore its surface differs from the rest of the seas of the world. This phenomenon is known as meromictic phenomenon and causes the surface layers to be lighter due to the constant action of the rivers, while the lower ones become denser and heavier due to their high level in Salt.
The Black Sea is one of the most important tourist areas in the region, having numerous cities that have beautiful and luxurious beaches. In addition, a large part of the tourists who come to this area do so to experience the aforementioned meromictic phenomenon.
