- THE UGLY DUCKLING
Start:
Like every year, Mrs. Pata used her summers on the farm to brood. Throughout the season, her pen companions, in addition to entertaining her so that she does not get stressed, anxiously waited for the ducklings to come out of those shiny shells. Why so much expectation? Mrs. Pata always had the most beautiful ducklings in the area. They took it for granted that this summer would be no exception.
Finally, the long-awaited day arrived: the eggs began to break one by one and small yellow heads appeared from them. The legs, excited, began to reach the corral of the Lady Pata. Neither wanted to miss that moment.
In all, Mrs. Pata had hatched seven eggs. One of them took longer than the rest to crack, although no one noticed. All the legs were mesmerized with those little poultry that patiently shed the shells that covered them.
Knot:
After a while, and when calm returned to place, the seventh egg began to crack, which was the largest of all. This time, the faces of the legs, attentive to the late phenomenon, did not reflect smiles but rather surprise. Some even forgot to blink for a long time.
The duckling, who with joy and awkward movements came out of his shell, was not only bigger than his little brothers but also stood out for being much longer, skinny and ugly.
Lady Paw was not only surprised by the appearance of her son but her shame was such that she with her wings separated him from the rest of the ducklings. She did not want the attention of her friends to be focused on the ugliness of the seventh duckling, but on the beauty of the rest.
The Ugly Duckling, after trying to join the group and being rejected, was saddened but kept his Hope that, as the days went by, his mother and his little brothers would accept him as one of the family. But it was not like that. The days passed and the indifference grew, as did his ugliness. This made the rest of the farm animals mock his appearance.
One morning, tired of the mistreatment, the Ugly Duckling took his things and, silently, so as not to wake anyone, he left the farm.
He walked, walked and walked. He set out to find friends who didn't look at his appearance but at his heart. After walking for several days, he finally reached another farm, where an old man in a red beret and a smile from ear to ear he lifted him up and led him to the kitchen of the house that was located towards the end of the place. The Ugly Duckling jumped for joy: finally someone loved him.
It took just a few minutes for the Ugly Duckling to discover that the man had in mind to make a stew and that he was the main ingredient! He just got distracted looking for a pot, the Ugly Duckling fled through the window and started a new walk. The months passed and the little one learned to fend for himself alone.
Outcome:
So much did the Ugly Duckling walk, that it was spring again. One hot morning in that season when he was born, he heard swans having fun in a crystal clear lake. The temperature was such that he used his courage, he quickened his pace to get closer and asked them, shyly, if he could bathe with them.
With surprise, one of the swans replied:
- How could one of us not be able to enjoy these crystal clear waters?
The Ugly Duckling's eyes filled with tears and with an almost broken voice he replied:
- Why are they making fun of me? It is not my fault that I am an ugly and clumsy duck, instead of a beautiful swan like you.
Once again, the same swan interrupted his bath to reply:
- We're not making fun of you. Look at yourself in the reflection of the water. Are you one of us.
Following the advice of the beautiful swan, the Ugly Duckling looked out into the lake. Seeing the reflection of her on the surface, she couldn't believe the image that the water gave her back.
He was no longer that horrible duckling that she had had to abandon to her family, but a beautiful and elegant swan.
Perhaps the most beautiful he had ever seen.
- GOLDEN RICHES
Start:
Once upon a time there was a beautiful girl with golden hair, whom everyone knew as Goldilocks. The little girl had the habit of getting up early, having breakfast and taking advantage of the first hours of sun to pick the most beautiful flowers in the forest.
Knot:
One morning, little Goldilocks got distracted, she walked too much and got lost. After realizing that she was lost, and when she almost had no energy to cry, she found a small cabin.
When she reached out with her fist to slam on the door, she noticed it was open. Delicately, she opened it and, after saying "hello" several times without receiving a response, she was encouraged to enter.
She barely set foot inside the hut, she saw that there were three serving bowls on the table: one large, one medium, and one small. Goldilocks was so hungry that she didn't hesitate, she sat down and drank the contents of the larger bowl. Since she was too hot for her palate, she put it down and tried the medium bowl, which she found very cold. The third bowl, which was the smallest, had the ideal temperature. In just a few seconds, she emptied the bowl.
When she put the spoon on the table, fatigue washed over her, and she decided to rest in one of the three rocking chairs in the room. She sat on the largest one, but she found it too uncomfortable: her feet did not touch the ground. She moved to the medium chair, but it was too wide, so she opted to sit in the smaller one. Although she barely made it, she broke into a thousand pieces.
Goldilocks, angry but tired, she got up from the floor and went to a room, where she found three beds, of three different sizes. She was tempted by the bigger one, but she barely leaned back, gave up: the mattress was too hard for her taste. The second, medium-sized bed had the opposite problem: it was too soft.
Finally, he lay back on the third bed: the smallest and softest of all. Barely a few minutes passed, the young woman fell completely asleep. Hours later, the three bears that inhabited the cabin returned from a long walk: Mama Bear, Papa Bear, and Baby Bear. Exhausted and on an empty stomach, they sat at the table to enjoy the soup they had allowed to cool before leaving.
“Someone tasted my soup!” Said Papa Bear as soon as he saw the dirty spoon on the side of the bowl. Her mother replied, "Someone has tried my soup too!" While the Baby Bear replied: "Someone has had all my soup!". Puzzled, the family decided to sit in their chairs to rest. As soon as he saw his, Papa Bear saw that the cushion was slightly crooked, so he shouted: Someone has sat on my! chair! ”, to which the mother, after seeing her cushion on the floor, replied:“ Someone has sat on my chair also!". The Baby Bear, who was already saddened by the soup incident, tearfully said, "Someone broke my chair!"
Outraged, the three bears decided to take a nap and put what happened behind them. But when they got to the room, once again, the father noticed that something was not in its place. "Someone has slept in my bed!" He said furiously. Then Mama Bear looked at her bed to reply: "Someone has slept in my bed too!" The Baby Bear approached his bed and, eyes wider than usual, yelled, "Someone is sleeping in my bed!"
Outcome:
Amid the shouting, Goldilocks woke up with a start and saw that three bears were looking at her strangely. The little girl got so scared but so scared that she threw herself out of the window that was just above the bed she was sleeping on and started running. When she wanted to be aware of her, he was on the path that led to her house.
