Spanish Classes / / July 14, 2021
Conclusive connectors (also called conclusion) are those connectorsthat join two syntactic elements in order to establish a conclusion relationship. That is, a resolution is established, in what way a certain circumstance is concluded or ended.
These connectors, like all of them, have the main function of joining or linking two sentences, phrases or phrases in order to establish this conclusive meaning. Let's go through a couple of examples:
- “These were some of the main points raised in the meeting. In conclusion, we must change the strategies implemented so far ”: in conclusion works as a conclusive connector that connects the second sentence with the previous one (these were... + we must change ...)
- "These tests were not valid, as a result, will have to get new ": as a result works as a conclusive connector that joins two sentences (these tests were not valid + new ones will have to be taken)
As we can observe, the conclusion is introduced by means of the conclusive connector; In the first sentence, a certain idea or circumstance is established, and then what is the term, purpose or what is deduced from said idea is explained.
