The word celebration is used to designate any form of celebration that is carried out with a specific objective and plan. The celebration is one of the most common ways of the human being to express in most cases the joy (for example, before an anniversary, before a birth, before a achievement) but also in some cases to express sadness, in which case the celebration could be renamed rather as a commemoration or a celebration. In any of the cases, the celebration is an ancestral act to which the human being has always resorted to express itself and that persists today, albeit with different methods, different goals, and different materials.
Since prehistoric times, the human being has always resorted to celebration as a form of expression. In many cases, any type of celebration served as a species release of sensations and feelings that they could not be rationally understood and that they served to discharge or alleviate penalties. Thus, the celebration for a long time also served as a way not to
rational and completely emotional expression. The festivities considered for a long time as pagan by the official religions used to be understood as trances or losses of reason, for which they were annulled and prohibited. All societies and all communities have always had and have different forms of celebration, as well as reasons or objectives for which to celebrate. It may even be valid to mark a difference between public and private celebrations. Thus, public celebrations generally have to do with matters of public interest, for example historical dates, important commemorations, sporting achievements, etc. In the case of private celebrations, the reasons will probably have to do with important and joyful moments in the life of each person, for example a birth, an achievement academic, etc.
The festivities are usually represented by various forms of celebration, although generally they always include elements such as dances and dances, a lot of allegorical decoration to the theme for which it is celebrated, abundant food, celebratory materials (religious or secular) such as candles, fireworks, etc. and it is also common for them to be durable, and may even last longer than weeks.
