Economic activity is divided into productive sectors
The economic activity It is divided in all parts of the world into productive sectors in relation to the type of process that takes place in each area or sector.
Five productive sectors
So we find ourselves in any economy with five sectors: primary, secondary, tertiary, quaternary and quinary.
Economic activities that transform natural resources into primary products
The primary sector brings together all those economic activities that are concerned with transforming the natural resources in primary products that do not have a elaboration, because it will come later... In other words, the primary sector creates raw materials that will later be applied in industrial processes. Typical activities in this sector include: agriculture, livestock, mining, beekeeping, hunting and fishing, among others.
They produce raw materials that will later intervene in industrial processes
All the aforementioned activities are concerned with recovering from the same nature the
resources natural resources to obtain the raw materials that will later be fundamental in industrial processes, already corresponding to the other sectors of the economy.Almost never, the raw materials obtained in this sector will reach consumers directly, but other hands will intervene in the middle that will be responsible for generating the product and many others that will make it reach a supermarket shelf so that the final consumer can acquire it there.
One of the most common examples may be fruits and vegetables that are grown on a farm. Farmers will only take care of their culture and then they will sell them in markets.
What are the other four sectors of the economy doing?
For their part, the rest of the sectors will take care of: the secondary sector joins the activity of the manufacture with the production handcrafted. In this case, the goods that arrive from the primary sector are transformed into new products.
The tertiary sector is in charge of offering people and organizations of various kinds of services.
The quaternary area of the economy is relatively new since its function is to complement the sectors already indicated through actions associated with the value of information, such as distribution and management.
And finally the quinario has to do with cultural, artistic, educational activities and the entertainment industry.
