Example of Linking Verbs in English

A linking verb or linking verb link to a noun or pronoun near the beginning of a sentence with another word.

Some verbs show no action. Rather, they express a state of being, and are called state-of-being, or linking verbs. The linking verbs they act as equal signs between the connecting words.
