Dent is a verb which means to produce a depression in a surface as a result of a blow (As a result of the crash, the rear of the limousine was dented). Buoy is a verb that means to put buoys or to make an object float in the water. It is rare and only used in maritime jargon (the lifeguards they abolished the entire maritime segment closest to the shore).
For most Spanish-speaking countries, the words dent Y buoy are homophones, that is, they sound phonetically the same as a consequence of the yeismo. However, their meaning is different and they are spelled differently. For example: the sailor dented her cap while she took care of buoy the sector where the boat was anchored.
