Importance of Public Order

Public Order is something completely essential in our day to day. It is an ideal state in which the operation of the society is completely correct. A situation of peace and respect for the laws of the community. Without this Public Order, or rather without respecting this Public Order, its citizens could end up unleashing chaos.
The truth is that defining Public Order is not something simple; and it is that it is not a specific body or law, and although it is included in the legal system, the truth is that it is more a state than something concrete. Thus, public order would be related to the laws and norms of coexistence minimum, or tools as important as the Constitution of each State, which are the ones that ensure that this order is respected.
We can therefore say that Public Order is a state of legality. An ideal situation in which the different authorities of a government carry out their work without the citizens being able to hinder it.
Taking all this into account, we can assure in a way that Public Order is also a containment tool. A government imposition that would put certain limits on the freedom of human beings, yes, always taking into account the benefit of all the individuals of the State.
Surely we have heard on some occasion that of "Disturbance of public order". This alteration supposes that actions are executed that could hinder or risk this situation of peace and tranquillity. Thus, acts of vandalism, of any nature, nocturnal noises that can disturb the rest or even daily activities that can alter the daily life of others, would be actions that could be punished for disturbance of Public Order.
In addition, actions such as public protests or riots would also fall into this group, which in extreme cases can lead to problems of revolution.
This last point is really controversial and controversial. In most democracies, people have the right to protest publicly. However, if these protests are accompanied by violence or are not properly organized (with the necessary permits), they can be punished by the government as a clear disturbance of Public Order, thus arresting its participants and imposing sanctions on the themselves. Thus, governments must be careful, because what initially seeks to serve the citizen and seek peace, it can also be used as a repressive measure, something that the citizen will not see favorably eyes.
