Sample Assay Task Bicentennial Of Independence In Mexico
Story / / July 04, 2021
Bicentennial means the celebration of 200 years of some event, in this case it refers to the 200 years that have passed since Mexico became independent from Spain.
Let's remember a little.
The independence of Mexico begins on September 16, 1810 with the Grito de Dolores given by Father Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla and ends on September 27, 1821 with the entry of the Trigarante army (led by Agustín de Iturbide and Vicente Guerrero) to the City of Mexico. However, the beginning of the process is celebrated but not its consummation. That is why, doing allegory on September 15, campaigns are played in the most important squares of the country's cities and Mexico is painted tricolor throughout the month of September.
Fast forward in time.
30 years of the mandate of Porfirio Díaz, the lack of labor rights, mistreatment of indigenous people and a host of economic, political, social and cultural that came together, led to the fact that on November 20, 1910 (100 years after the beginning of the independence process) the Mexican people decided to rise up in arms. This movement concluded in 1917 with the promulgation of the Constitution of 1917.
Today.
To this day it seems that the revolution was not completed, it seems that it was interrupted and the ideals it was pursuing forgotten. We had 30 years of Porfirio Díaz and we celebrated his exile with a great party, but we forget that We had 70 years, yes 70, a corrupt, mediocre, incompetent and cheating government that led the country to what is today. A country hungry for great things that never come. A country that is capable of returning to power to the PRI by 2012. A country subdued by drug trafficking, robberies and murders.
This 2010 we will be celebrating the bicentennial of independence and the centenary of the revolution, for which a commission has been created in charge of the celebrations.
Where is the revolution?
Is that what we wanted independence for?
