The real name of Guadalupe Victoria was José Miguel Ramón Adaucto Fernández Félix. He was born on September 29, 1786, in the town of Tamazula belonging to Nueva Vizcaya, currently known as Durango. His parents Manuel Fernández de Victoria and María Alejandra Feliz Niebla die and leave him an orphan when he was very young.
