Any entrepreneur or private person seeks to save costs whenever possible, so when you have a close commercial relationship with a business or seller, it is possible to request a discount on a large purchase made with this.
Negotiating discounts is a common business practice and although it can sometimes happen that when a discount letter this is rejected, it is also possible that the expected result will be obtained and in both cases the relationship trade between the parties remains in good standing, provided that the request is prepared properly and respectful.

I hereby write to you to respectfully request that you kindly consider making a 50% discount on the order of groceries that we order for the next month of February, since it is twice what we buy monthly and therefore it is a transaction quite big.
I hope that due to the amount of this purchase you will analyze the situation that I present and grant the company that I represent the discount that I request.
I will be very grateful for the attention you give to this.
