Dear grandfather Francisco,

I am writing you this letter on the occasion of your birthday. Congratulations on those 83 years that you are celebrating today! Since I was a child you have been a very important person to me and it saddens me not to be able to share these moments with you. Despite the distance, I want you to know that I love you very much and that I thank God for giving me the opportunity to meet a person like you and that you are my grandfather.

The school year will soon be over and I will be able to return home and spend a few days by your side, something I long for today more than ever.
