It is understood by tab, normally in plural "eyelashes", that section of the body that is located at the end of the eyelid and that serves mainly to protect the eyes in certain situations. Each hair that makes up the group of eyelashes is called an eyelash, but it is more common to use the noun in plural than in singular to refer to this part of the body. The tabs are features of the human being, not of the mammals because not all of them possess them.
Humans have a small layer of skin over the eyes known as the eyelid. This is the first protection to the eye as it can completely cover the eye and thus make the eye closed. On the other hand, when the eyelid ends, what is called eyelashes begins and which is nothing more than a small set of short hairs that have the function of more important cover the eye secondarily. The eyelashes help prevent external bodies from entering the eye, very small bodies that can be swept by them as if it were a brush.
The eyelashes are located both in the upper part and in the lower part of the eye, although the upper ones are more abundant and longer. As with all body hair, the eyelashes return to
grow up if you tear them off or if you take them off, sometimes they also fall off naturally. Sometimes, when they are very long and protruding, the eyelashes can be inserted into the eye and generate different types of injuries, so it is good to go to the doctor or the ophthalmologist to control those kinds of situations. In the case of women, eyelashes are an element of utmost importance when it comes to seduction and since time immemorial the woman the eyelashes are painted and colored to give a style more sensual and attractive.
