Expression is called the manifestation of desires, thoughts and emotions of a person. By extension, it is usually used to refer to all kinds of manifestations or phenomena caused by another.
The notion of expressing something is linked to that of showing it as patent and evident for the rest of the people and it should not be surprising that it is a need that has been present since the dawn of humanity.
For example, as can be found in cave paintings on the walls made by primitive men that reflected their daily life, showing scenes of obtaining resources by hunting. This primal trend is still present and marks our lives.
Refinement and evolution natural of this human characteristic is carried out in art. Through it, elements perceptible by the senses are used to account for the intimate reality of each man. Thus, for example, music uses sounds, the painting of colors, the sculpture and the architecture of forms and the literature of the use of words. All the civilizations that populated the world had a culture formed by the
integration of these expressive variants. Now, the basic means that man has used to express himself and communicate, beyond the previous refinements, is undoubtedly the verbal language. It is very interesting to see that despite all the differences between the different languages that exist and they existed, there are structures that remain constant in all of them, a situation proven by the linguist Noam Chomsky. It is also striking how difficult it becomes to explain in evolutionary terms the appearance of this ability in the human race, due to its distance from the human race. communication of the beasts among his fellow men.
So far, the most obvious and conspicuous forms among the forms of expression of man; nevertheless, the development of each man in his life can be easily understood as the attempt (sometimes truncated, sometimes successful) to express himself.
