The Fox it's a mammalcarnivorous which is part of the family of the canids, to which the wolves, coyotes, dogs and jackals. Although the most popular name is fox, they are also known as vulpines and foxes or foxes.
There are currently around some 27 species that are present on all continents, however, the most common and widespread is that of the red fox or common fox, who lives in Europe and North America. Another common variant, although less frequent than the previous one, is that of the polar fox, also known as arctic fox.
The hope Foxes' lifespan is really short, although they can live ten years or exceed them if they are in a captive situation, most live between two or three years.
Regarding its regular size, the fox is one of the smallest species that are part of the canine family, if we compare them with the other members: foxes, jackals or coyotes.
The traits The most typical physical features of foxes are: a very fine snout and a very thick tail, although they can also present other typical characteristics as a consequence of the
habitat in which they develop, such as long ears and short fur, which is the case of the fox of desertOn the other hand, the Arctic fox has small ears and a dense coat.The big difference that they present with respect to the other members of their family is that foxes are not animals that tend to move in a herd, which is the case with the rest, usually the fox, hunting his prey alone, using a jumping practice practiced from an early age, being able to kill his prey in a few seconds. They feed on rodents, grasshoppers, fruits and berries, among others.
In western culture, the fox has a special esteem and is considered a pretty cunning animal with respect to the rest and therefore it is that from this, in the language current, when a person appears as very cunning it is often described as a fox. Juan is a fox, he is very difficult to fool.
