The concept of vintage designates the procedure that consists of the harvest and subsequent harvesting of the grape. The grape is the main raw material when it comes to manufacturing products that are so consumed throughout the world as is the case of wine and vinegar.

The grape comes from gender plant known as vine and that it is undoubtedly one of the most important at an economic level in the whole world, because as we have already said, after subjecting it to a special process, the wine is obtained. Although, we must also highlight that it is a hyper popular fruit that everyone likes to consume naturally. Harvesting is certainly an ancient procedure that was already practiced by very primitive civilizations such as the Egyptian back in silo II BC.

Currently there are basically two harvesting methods. The manual that proposes a rather select collection and that is used for the production of very high wines quality. Now, we must mention that this method is much more expensive with respect to the mechanical one.

The mechanical procedure is being imposed precisely because of the low costs and the complications that exist in the search for qualified labor to carry out the manual process.

The term also designates that time of year in which the aforementioned harvest of the culture. In the southern hemisphere this period is located between February and April and in the north between July and October. Obviously, this is strongly influenced by the degree of maturation that is waiting.

And the concept is widely used to designate the festival that is celebrated in most parts of the world where grape cultivation takes place. This celebration has tax thousands of years ago to precisely celebrate the harvest come true.

One of the most recognized is the one held in the Argentine province of Mendoza, an area in which the cultivation of grapes is carried out par excellence to produce wines.
