In the concept of reaction various meanings are inscribed. The most frequent and known is the one that says that the reaction is the consequent answer that any living being faces a stimulus receiving.
But also and in another order of things, a reaction can refer to the concrete action that a thing or a person unfolds, to firmly oppose another.
For example, the reaction is a conduct that is observed very frequently in the world of politics and that will appear as a counterpart of the established order of things. Many times, innovative ideas that propose a substantial change in the political life of any society or community involve a reaction, which can generally be embodied by a political party contrary to the ruling party and that proclaims a change with respect to this or by the governed themselves that before a certain measure or policy which they consider counterproductive, they rise up and react against is.
Traditionally and since the French Revolution took place, the term reactionary was used to speak of all those positions or ideas that were precisely opposed to the
Revolution. Then with the to run of the time, the term began to be applied to any political position that does not agree with the official one.On the other hand and as we pointed out above, the reaction can occur against something, such as a medicine, this situation, in the medical fields, is called adverse reaction to a drug and will involve any harmful response to a drug that was ingested for the purpose of diagnosing, treating or preventing any disease, but that of course did not suppose at any time a malicious intention for that to happen.
Meanwhile, in the field of chemistry it is called reaction to that process through which two substances are combined to give rise to a third. For example, from the reaction that takes place between caustic soda and hydrochloric acid, we will obtain as a final result the common salt that you, I and all of us use to season our meals.
