The concept of session is widely used in our language, in the field parliamentary, in the context of business, in psychotherapy, in the medicine, among the most common, and basically we use it in all of them to refer the meeting of an organization or the period of time in which an activity or event will take place.

In the legislative context, when any of the chambers that make up the Congress or Parliament has to meet and debate about a draft from law you will be conducting, holding, a session.
In the sessions, all the representatives of the people will have their time to express their opinion and analysis on the issues addressed, and once the debate the corresponding vote will take place in which everyone will also have the chance to present their vote.

The sessions are very important meetings since the laws that will govern the destinies of a country result from them. Meanwhile, these sessions are distinguished in: ordinary, which are those that are stipulated in the law, that is, it is expected that they happen, while the Extraordinary sessions are convened when some important issues were not resolved in the ordinary sessions and that are essential to find a resolution.

On the other hand and at the request of a company, it is common for those who make up the management or the board of directors to meet in the framework of a session with the mission of discussing the issues that make their functioning and after that, the corresponding decisions are made to improve those aspects that need it.

Those who have ever done psychotherapy will surely feel familiar with this concept since in this way it is called the encounter that the patient has with his / her therapist. This meeting, formally called a session, has a specific time duration, normally forty minutes, and an agreed periodicity between professional and patient, once a week, twice a week, every fortnight.
This will depend on the case and the severity of the condition.

And in the brand new context of Internet, the term session is used to designate the entry, login, to a site, to the email. It appears called as log in and the space in question must be completed with the name of Username and password.
