Yoga is a discipline millennial that comes from India and is oriented to the Balance of the body and mind. Through a series of movements, exercises and relaxation techniques the yoga practitioner can achieve a balance between the bodily and the soul and an improvement in its spiritual dimension. As with massage or martial arts, there is no single yoga modality, so Svasthya yoga is one of the ways to practice and understand it.
General principles of Svasthya yoga
This method is popularly known by the name of advanced yoga or ancient yoga and its initiator was the Brazilian teacher Luiz Alvares DeRose, who implemented it in the second half of the 20th century.
The main goal is to achieve great alertness, which is sometimes called hyperconsciousness.
Svasthya yoga is more technical than other types of yoga, but incorporates less mysticism. At the same time, it has a direct relationship with the Tantrism of Hinduism.
From the bodily point of view, its effects enhance flexibility and increase vitality and
Energy through the introduction of some choreographies. In this sense, the masters of Svasthya yoga maintain that this modality should not be confused with the gymnastics or with the physical education western.Health benefits
Svasthya yoga provides a series of health benefits: a better body position and especially in the back, a reduction in joint pain and greater stress control. It should be noted that Svasthya yoga does not cure diseases but can alleviate symptoms and provide an improvement in general health. To achieve these benefits, a series of techniques are used (pujá provides energy, samyama enhances concentration and kriyá purifies the mucous membranes).
Svasthya yoga is not suitable for all types of people
This modality of yoga is suitable for those people who have a clear herd feeling, that is, they are not individualists but feel part of humanity. On the other hand, it is recommended for those individuals who already have a deep attitude ethics and a high sense of responsibility personal. At the same time, Swasthya yoga connects with people who value justice, seek truth, and take a courageous stance in life.
Teachers of this discipline also value that practitioners seek the joy as an essential aspect, since this yoga aims at the pursuit of happiness. Thus, those who do not identify with these ideas and values are better off practicing another type of yoga or another activity. In general, Swathya yoga is interesting for intellectual, dynamic, creative and enterprising people.
