Importance of natural numbers

The importance of numbers lies in the fact that thanks to them, man stopped using rudimentary methods to count the number of elements in a given set, such as the knots in a rope, for example.
These natural numbers made their first and timid appearance in 4,000 BC. C, in Mesopotamia. They represented a complete turn to previous systems. Furthermore, we must not forget that they were the first numbers to appear, this is because their function, that of counting elements, is the most primary, as well as the most important; and it is that without these natural numbers, man would not have developed the ability to count, something that we use every day of our lives. For example, if we cook meat for 6 people, we must know how to count 6 different meat steaks, if we want all diners to be satisfied. If we didn't know how to count, with these natural numbers, we wouldn't know how many doors our house has, how many legs a cat has, or how many days are left until our long-awaited vacation.
Thanks to these natural numbers, the main operations arose later; Addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. We cannot deny that this is extremely important, since the truth is that without this type of operations it would have been impossible for mathematics to develop, giving rise to much more complex operations, operations that today are essential for areas as important as medicine, computing or architecture, among many others. others.
Thus, we can say that these natural numbers were an important step for the evolution of man. A first step that if we look closely, at present, it is still the first step for the little ones; and it is that our children, before learning derivatives or square roots, they must learn to count.
He education system Currently, he is very clear that for a child to learn mathematics, he must follow the process that man followed in his natural evolution. Therefore, during the first years of kindergarten, these children learn the natural numbers in an intuitive way, giving simple and everyday examples so that children learn to count.
After this step, it is time for the little ones to learn to handle small and simple operations, such as adding or subtracting. In this way, little by little they will be prepared to face the world of mathematics and complex operations. Therefore, we can say that the natural numbers are essential so that modern individuals can learn little by little by becoming familiar with them.
