The reference sheets they are one of the most used tools when organizing the documentary material used in an investigation. As the name implies, these cards contain information about books, magazines or any other documentary material that has been used by the researcher. Unlike other files, these only give us bibliographic data, so they do not refer to the content or any information that is part of said material. Given their characteristics, the reference sheets must contain the author, the title of the book or article, the edition, the publisher that publishes the material, its year of publication, as well as the place where the text. Some other features can also be noted, as long as they work for reference only.
