The vuvuzela is a variant of the long trumpet used especially at the behest of the sport by the fans and fans of a certain team to encourage and cheer on your team. Its use is focused on the south african soccer, although it is worth noting that after the last World Cup, held a couple of months ago precisely on South African soil, the job of the vuvuzela has been seen popularized, managing to spread to other cultures and countries that decided to adopt it as well.
Mostly, they are made of plastic and the sound they produce is similar to the sweep of an elephant or the buzzing of a bee.
Although there are no coincidences regarding the origin of the term, there are strong indications that it comes from the word vuvu which in Zulu means to make noise.
Although for football in general and especially in South African football, as we mentioned, the vuvuzela implies and is related to the fanfare of the fans, not everyone considers the itself a joyous and innocent object, but quite the opposite, since for example in the international arena, that is, outside of South Africa, its use has presented several controversies, for example example,
FIFA , at some point, then he had to give in as a result of the pressures, he planned to ban it because he considered it, on the one hand, a disturbing element within the field when it came to achieving the concentration of the footballers and on the other hand because it could be used as a weapon within the field, to throw it like a projectile on the humanity of a player, the referee or a supporter. With the fans in favor and with the players and journalists against, it has been found that the vuvuzela causes serious hearing damage because of the excessive intensity that presents the sound it produces. A vuvuzela executed short distance achieves 127 decibelswhile the engine is running a airplane 120 decibels, a really high figure in comparison.
