On Botany, the term sap designates the thick liquid that circulates through the conductive vessels of higher plants, xylem or phloem and whose function is to nourish the plants, especially since it contains water and you go out minerals, among others nutrients essential for your life.
The sap carried through the xylem or also called as raw sapconsists predominantly of water, mineral elements, growth regulators and other substances found in dissolution, To the transport it is called basipetal, because it is produced from the roots of the plant to the leaves from the woody tubes.
Meanwhile, the sap transported by phloem or also known as elaborated SAP, is composed mainly of water, phytoregulators, sugars and dissolved minerals. The transport of the aforementioned substance in the xylem is effected from the sources, that is, from the place where the carbohydrates they are produced and stored, towards the destinations, the place of the plant in question in which the carbohydrates are used.
And the other use that the word sap admits is to designate that person or element that stands out from the rest for communicating Energy and vitality. Your presence is the lifeblood of any meeting.
